Nomination forms may be obtained from Rebekah Henderson in Human Resources. Completed forms must be submitted to Rebekah no later than Friday, July 31, 2009. It is officially the start of PPR rating season!  Supervisors, below is a list of important reminders:

  • July 1 - August 31 is the window to conduct PPR ratings.
  • July 31 is the last day to conduct annual PPR planning sessions.
  • Ensure that your supervisor (2nd level Supervisor) approves the rating prior to meeting or giving the rating to the employee.
  • Ensure that your supervisor (2nd level Supervisor), the employee, and you sign and date the PPR Form.
  • Ensure that the mid-year review form is attached to the back of the PPR document.
  • If an employee separates from the Department on or before 6/30, you do not have to conduct a rating. If an employee separates from the Department on or after 7/1, a PPR rating should be conducted and mailed to the employee's last known address.
  • New Civil Service Rule 10.11.1 requires Rating Supervisors to properly administer the PPR program. If an employee under his/her supervision receives a rating of "unrated," the supervisor will not be eligible for a merit increase unless the "unrated" is due to the employee's extended leave or the employee is a new transfer from another state agency.
