In June 1986, it was made a part of then Claiborne Parish Police Jury. This agency operates the only public transportation system in Claiborne Parish available to all residents of the parish, regardless of age or income. Transportation is provided to work sites, medical facilities, grocery stores, and to other requested locations. Claiborne Parish is a very rural parish. Many of the residents living in isolated areas depend on public transportation for medical services and to help them maintain their level of independence.
