Transportation is provided to destinations in East Baton Rouge Parish on Tuesday. This transportation is available to all persons of all ages! Trips are scheduled as needed for passengers from parish towns and communities such as Jackson, McManus, Ethel, Slaughter, Wilson, Norwood, Possum Corner, Felixville, Clinton, Bluff Creek and to specific designated locations such as clinics, hospitals, doctor’s offices, dental offices, public offices, grocery stores, schools, social service agencies, etc. within the parish. There is no other public transportation provided in East Feliciana Parish, therefore East Feliciana Public Transit provides transportation to persons living in very rural and isolated areas who would otherwise not have access. The East Feliciana Public Transit started out as a very small Transit Program but is growing more and more each year. As of July 1997 the East Feliciana Council on Aging was given the Medicaid transportation contract which has been a very big help to the East Feliciana Public Transit program.
