The parish transit system was designed to provide accessible and affordable transit services for all ages. Vernon Parish is the third largest parish in the state and is very rural in nature. The transit system is vital to the well being of parish residents.
Trips that are made within the service area provide access to medical appointments, shopping, senior centers, businesses, vocational schooling and training. Vernon Parish Transit also operates under a contract with the Office of Family Support to provide transportation for single parent families to work sites and day care centers.
