CAMERON, La. – The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that the Cameron ferry, which crosses the Calcasieu ship channel at La. 27 and La. 82, returned to service Sunday evening.

The Cameron ferry had been out of service since March 16 because of a detached rudder. The ferry operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
