BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that construction on I-10 westbound in St. Martin Parish was completed Sunday, June 21 – about two days ahead of schedule. The construction began Tuesday, June 15 and was expected to last for approximately one week.
The emergency road work forced the reduction of I-10 to one lane of traffic from a mile east of the Henderson overpass (exit 115) to a mile west of Henderson. The closure was necessary for DOTD repair a pavement failure on the interstate located just west of Henderson. DOTD appreciates the patience of drivers who may have been inconvenienced by these necessary lane closures.
