DOTD appreciates your patience while we complete this project. The phase of the project remains on schedule to finish in mid-May.

Crews have replaced all 48 cables that raise and lower the bridge with new cables. They have also replaced 20 support beams and have also refurbished all the stair treads and platforms on the bridge that are utilized by the bridge tender and maintenance crews.

We have completed much of the electrical prep work including new cable installation, conduit and junction boxes. The major portion of the electrical work has begun with a crew of 25+ electricians working six to seven 12-hour days for the next month.
