Gretna Ferry’s hours to change for Fourth of July Holiday

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that the Gretna Ferry will operate on a different schedule for the Fourth of July holiday, starting this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and ending with the last departure from Canal Street at 10 p.m.

Anticipating an increase in traffic due to the fireworks show scheduled for 9 p.m., the ferry will make an additional trip, if needed.

The ferry will return to its normal schedule on Monday, July 5.
