There will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 190 westbound at the Amite River Bridge from Monday, April 11, to Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

In addition, there will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 190 eastbound at the Amite River Bridge during the same period of time from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

One lane of traffic will be open in each direction at all times.

The closure is being put in place to allow crews to install pavement markings and rumble strips.

This closure will allow vehicles up to 11-feet-wide to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads are still under permit restrictions. Motorists may use I-12 as an alternate route.
