U.S. 190 Amite River Bridge lane closure update

The outside lane of U.S. 190 eastbound at the Amite River Bridge will be closed on Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The closure is being put in place to allow crews to install asphalt for a turnout connecting U.S. 190 to the adjacent service road.

There are no permit restrictions. Drivers may use I-12 as an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
