U.S. 61 Resurfacing and Safety Improvements From LA 22 to LA 74 Lane Closure Update

Construction/Traffic:

Lane closures will continue to occur on the northbound and southbound directions of U.S. 61 from LA-22 to LA-939 daily, 7/20/12 through 8/03/12 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  During this time, crews will saw cut, excavate for turn lanes, mill and pave the roadway.

This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.  Road will be open for regular traffic, but oversize vehicles must contact the DOTD permit office prior to moving through the construction zone.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
