BATON ROUGE - By unanimous vote, the Senate today passed a resolution commending the departing Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) Secretary Kam Movassaghi on his dedicated service to the State of Louisiana.  Introduced by Senators John Hainkel and Francis Heitmeier, the resolution recognizes "Dr. Kam's" exemplary leadership and five years of dedicated service to the people of Louisiana.  Secretary Movassaghi personally appeared during the introduction of Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 12 and received a standing ovation in the Senate chamber.

            Secretary Movassaghi announced earlier this week that he will leave the DOTD leadership position on April 1.
