BATON ROUGE – On Sept. 3, Gov. Blanco issued Executive Order No. KBB 2005-28, which increases the weight limitations enforceable on Louisiana state highways for motor carriers involved in disaster relief efforts.

            The proclamation also waives permit requirements for disaster relief vehicles whose weight does not exceed the enforceable weight requirements set forth by the proclamation.

This proclamation will remain in effect until further notice.
