Rita's threat delays meeting on I-10/Sampson Street interchange

BATON ROUGE -- The threat of Hurricane Rita has forced the cancellation of a public meeting on an I-10 interchange near Westlake that had been scheduled for Thursday at Westlake City Hall.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will reschedule the meeting.

DOTD is analyzing several alternatives for a new elevated I-10 interchange to improve traffic flow and relieve congestion at Sampson Street near Westlake.
